What could it look like to live with water in New Orleans? Living With Water is an exhibition and design lab for green infrastructure in the Lower 9th and 7th Wards. With support from the Greater New Orleans Foundation, a cohort of neighborhood residents and currently incarcerated community members have been exploring the connections between water management and incarceration in Louisiana. They have been designing gardens that slow and filter stormwater, reduce flooding, and create spaces for community connection. This exhibition is a culmination of their work. Now, we need your imagination. Join Freedom to Grow, Civic Studio, and our design cohort on October 13th to explore their green infrastructure designs and share your vision for what a green abolitionist neighborhood could look like.
