Retreat Description:Longings and promises | Online Community Gathering This is a free event with registration, and any contributions are appreciated as CHJ depends on the generosity of its supporters. Tuesday, November 17 | 5:00 PM PST / 8:00 PM EST As we continue the Nativity preparation season, we invite our online community to join us for an evening of reflection, prayer, and fellowship centered on the theme Longings and Promises. Building on the themes explored during our Saturday retreat, we will reflect together on the deep longings of the human heart and the promises God makes to His people. Beginning with Isaiah 9:6, we will consider the hope of God's people as they awaited the coming of Messiah and explore how God continues to meet us today with His faithfulness and presence. Together, we will engage in the spiritual practices that shape CHJ's community life:

Reflect on the Word of God through guided teaching and contemplative silence.

Listen together for God's voice through communal discernment.

Respond to the presence of the Holy Spirit through prayer, worship, and praise.

Share our hearts as a diverse community united in Christ.

Whether you attended the Saturday retreat or are joining us for the first time, you are warmly welcome. This gathering offers an opportunity to continue exploring these themes as we prepare our hearts to celebrate the birth of Yeshua and trust anew in the faithfulness of God's promises.
