Enjoy live music featuring Chase Ventrella, along with small plates and additional beverages available for purchase.&nbsp; &nbsp;Lou&#39;s is open until 11pm.&nbsp; Lou&rsquo;s Lounge is located within the Dole Mansion. Enter under the black awning and follow the stairs down to the right to discover our speakeasy-inspired lounge. Never been to Lou&#39;s? Want to know the history behind The Dole&#39;s Speakeasy-&nbsp;Lou&#39;s Lounge?&nbsp;It&#39;s 1922 and prohibition is underway, Eliza Louise &quot;Lou&quot; Ringling and a group of &quot;Chicago Investors&quot; bought the Dole Mansion with a vision, and the original Crystal Lake Country Club was established.&nbsp;By 1925 the &quot;Club House&quot; (addition to the mansion) was complete and the CLCC was in full-swing boasting a 36-hole golf course on the nearly 1000 acres, horseback riding, a game preserve, boating, swim &amp; tennis, a roof-top terrace off the ballroom/dining room, plus 44 guest suites so members could stay for a night, weekend, month or more! &nbsp;Lou and her Lake Development Company also parceled off some of the land to build summer cottages for members. The gas-lit streets in this neighborhood, known today as &quot;The Gates&quot;, have English names which correlate to the English-Tutor design of the newly completed club house.&nbsp;On the land plat, Country Club Additions was the official name given, and years later, CCAPOA was formed. &nbsp;It is the optional Property Owners Association for this unique neighborhood which was once part of the country club grounds!&nbsp;There is little doubt that what is now Lou&#39;s Lounge, which is underground, was used as a true speakeasy and gambling room 100 years ago with the roof-top terrace directly above it.&nbsp;This has remained an unspoken cornerstone of The Dole&#39;s Legacy...UNTIL NOW.
