MADE for Kids features 7,000-square-feet of interactive space including four areas: a Makers Workshop, an Artists Studio, a Designers Lab and an Entrepreneurs Marketplace. Students will have the opportunity to engage in real-world, hands-on STEAM experiences they can’t participate in elsewhere, from designing for a 3D printer to learning simple robotics.https://www.magichouse.org/made-home/plan-your-made-visit/made-field-trips/ Unity has a scheduled classroom experience from 9:30-10:45 where the kids are guided through a physics challenge of building a Rube Goldberg machine (a clever contraption built to do a very simple job in a very long, funny, and complicated way). After the class we will be able to use the whole space for exploration until noon. All ages are encouraged to participate. The class and design challenge are going to be geared at middle school (the middle of the age range) but they assured me they can accommodate the older/younger kids and it will be fun for everyone. (I have a high schooler and I think it will be great!) Note: Lunch will be on our own after- no food brought into the space.
