In this workshop we will explore extracting colors from Marigolds grown on the farm, and a &#39;weed&#39; called &quot;tree of heaven&quot; - well known throughout empty lots all over the place! Learn how to bring forth gorgeous yellows to dark olive colors from these two plants. We will use iron water as a color shifting treatment, which you will also learn to make. Plants: Marigolds and Tree of Heaven&nbsp;Colors: Yellow to deep orange; olive green; dark green Please get in touch if you have any questions before signing up:&nbsp;community@polumbolum.org A few notes about our space and what to expect at the workshop: +This is an outdoor class, held at Peaceful Belly Farm&#39;s beautiful outdoor classroom. The ground is uneven.&nbsp;+We will provide some dyeable materials for you to experiment with, but you are also welcome to bring your own fabrics, yarns, or clothes to dye. Just make sure they are 100% natural fibers!+We will be in the shade, but it may be hot. Bring sun protection and water.
