Celebrate Maryland Day at the historic Rising Sun Inn, a Crownsville landmark preserved by Friends of Rising Sun Inn Inc. Explore rooms that have welcomed travelers for centuries and learn how our community keeps this heritage site thriving. 🎉 Taverns were more than a local watering hole; they were community centers. The Rising Sun Inn was a Colonial farmhouse and 18th century Tavern. Built circa 1753, her owners and residents were witnesses to the birth of a new Nation. Your visit supports ongoing preservation and community education at the Inn. 🏡 Try our virtual self guided tour using your mobile device (headphones encouraged). Walk ins will be accepted. This is a &quot;pay what you can&quot; event. &nbsp;Donations encouraged, but not required.
