An Afternoon Creative Escape with Preschool Mom & Artist Kara Wagner
Enjoy a relaxed and inspiring afternoon gathering at the beautiful home of Bianca Richman, offering stunning views of the Puget Sound.
Led by preschool mom and local artist Kara Wagner, this intimate event is limited to 10 guests and features a hands-on introduction to linocut printmaking—a bold and expressive art form where you'll carve and print your own custom designs. All supplies will be provided, and Kara will guide you every step of the way—no experience needed!
Sip on wine, savor light bites, and connect with fellow preschool families in a serene, art-filled setting.

Each tune-up includes:
-Drivetrain cleaning
-Shifter and brake alignment (no brake bleeding)
-Wheel truing
-General cleaning
-Safety inspection

Kids Scavenger Hunt around Discovery Park

Do your kids love riddles? Clues? Nature? Treasure? Well, then this is the event for you! Join me (Margot Hyland 3s, ex-preschool teacher and Encyclopedia Brown aficionado) as your kids work together to solve riddles and find clues to lead us to the jackpot! Refreshments will be provided. Also, this event would probably be best for a 3 and over crowd. But, if your child can hang, you know what's best! Older siblings more than welcome.

Craft and Sip: Bracelet Making

Join for a creative and colourful afternoon of bracelet making alongside some drinks and sweet treats! This fun and relaxed experience invites you to design your own stretch bracelet (or two!) using enamel tile beads from a wide variety of color choices
You will get to select your beads and layout, and can choose if you prefer to learn to string your bracelet yourself or pick it up finished the following week.

Plant Walk and Forest Tea Party with Teacher Becky

Join Nature Nerd, Teacher Becky, for a Plant walk in Discovery Park followed by a Forest Tea Party. We will begin with mindfulness activities and gentle movement to ground us and connect us to our surroundings. We will discuss principles of safe and ethical foraging before taking our Nature Walk. Teacher Becky will wax poetic about her favorite spring plants including but not limited to cedar, nettle, thimbleberry, cleaver, and salmonberry! We will end with a tea party of tasty snacks and teas made from forest gifts! Wildcrafting an infused vinegar is possible, time and forest offering permitting!
All guests will receive a copy of Robin Wall Kimmerer's gorgeous book, Braiding Sweet Grass and a copy of A Kid's Guide to Plants of the Pacific Northwest with Cool Facts, Activities and Recipes by Philippa Joly.
* This is an adult only event, but Teacher Becky hopes you leave feeling nourished and connected and ready to share your new plant friends with your kids.
