WELCOME to an exciting year of support and HOPE! I am a strong supporter of the important work of Texas Mental Health Resources, and together we continue to value mental health. Wellness. Wholeness. As part of TXMHR&#39;s commitment to providing critical support for struggling families, they have expanded their reach from the Dallas-Fort Worth area to Central Texas, with a new hub of support right here in the immediate Lampasas-Copperas Cove-Killeen area. The cries for help in our own neighborhoods are LOUD...yet unheard. Will you join me in raising financial support for our friends, our parents, our children who are torn apart by anxiety, PTSD, and depression?&nbsp; Texas Mental Health Resources adheres strongly to a three-prong focus that helps to support their values and impact our communities. 1-SUPPORTAn important part of improving mental health is connecting regularly with others who face similar challenges. Isolation, loneliness, and fear create an environment that fosters hopelessness, often leading to self-harm. Texas Mental Health Resources is making connections across Texas, creating a web of MindCare mental health support groups that are making critical regular interfaces available and accessible. People, once broken, are finding a new sense of hope and belonging. 2-PARTNERSHIPTexas is in a mental health crisis situation, with depression reaching from our children to senior adults. We simply must remove the stigma of mental illness, instead bringing it to the forefront of our conversations. TXMHR is not only connecting individuals needing help with appropriate resources, but also is creating partnerships with organizations across the state in order to build a climate of understanding and advocacy. They actively go into organizations within our communities, collaborating with corporations, senior facilities, and civic organizations to identify ways to provide support unique to those groups. 3-ASSISTANCEAccess to affordable health care, counseling and medications is critical to sustained mental health, yet so many in Texas are struggling with managing these costs. Texas Mental Health Resources is notifying psychiatrists, behavioral health hospitals, counselors, pharmacies, and other organizations providing mental health services of their desire to provide financial assistance for those struggling to navigate the expense of mental health care. As TXMHR continues to gain visibility, and as they branch out now into our own community, the needs have begun to pour in at a much greater rate. They are committed to providing assistance to anyone who is struggling, yet who cannot afford the necessary care, and they rely on the generosity of partnering individuals and organizations to ensure no one is left behind to suffer in silence.&nbsp;&nbsp;Your gracious tax-deductible contribution to this 501(c)(3) non-profit organization will change - maybe save - countless lives.
