Harness your most imaginative spirit! Study the Art of Mime: a captivating, magnetic vessel that unleashes the creative cartoon brain bouncing around your head, asking &ldquo;what if&mdash;?&rdquo; In this 5-hour workshop led by Mime instructor Jamin Jollo, you&rsquo;ll use play-based games and exercises to practice the stylings of Mime and let your imagination flourish into unique, engaging stories. By the end of this class you&rsquo;ll learn a new physical vocabulary and take home a novel of inspiration for your next chapter, both in life and on the stage. This all-levels workshop is suitable for actors looking to add to their toolbox, physical theater practitioners performing the art, and anyone who is interested in inhabiting another world with their mind and body. Bring water, lunch, and clothing that is easy to move in as we will stretch, sweat, and work up an appetite while exercising our minds and bodies.&nbsp; Instructor Bio:Jamin Jollo&nbsp;is a classically trained mime and heightened language theatre actor. His pedagogy is melded from a conglomerate of artists such as James Donlon, James Jesse Peck, U. Jonathan Toppo, Kittycat Thompson, and other masters of physical theatre. Jamin has taught mime and stage combat for The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Marin Shakespeare Company, Circus Center, and classrooms for 6th Street Playhouse, Katia &amp; Co, and Shakespearience. Jamin has played in Shakespeare and musical theatre shows across the Bay, all while debuting various Vaudevillian acts featuring mime, music, and absurdly comical costumes and props he designed and created.
