Movie- Highway of Tears: The Unsolved Serial Murders of Aboriginal Women (documentary) and discussion
The Highway of Tears is a 725-kilometre corridor of Highway 16 between Prince George and Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada, which has been the location of many missing and murdered Indigenous women beginning in 1970. Filmmaker Matthew Smiley investigates the impact of generational poverty, residential schools, systemic violence, and high unemployment on the murder rates around the First Nation reserves.

Join us for a walk in Allegheny Cemetery. Many influential, Well-Known Black Pittsburghers are buried there, as well as everyday Black people and many Well-Known White Pittsburghers. We will drive the route due to distance and hills. We will walk to gravesites on paths, grass and some slopes.
Join us for an easy, 2-mile hike for missions at Mingo Creek County Park.
If it rains, the rain date will be May 10. The hike will be on paved ground
with an easy 1-mile out and back. You will get to see one of the covered
bridges of Mingo Creek and enjoy the scene.
Please wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
These can be accessed anytime. Activities include exercise routine, walking meditation, podcasts.
