Music for a Purpose is thrilled to welcome back Louisville's own Geoff Herd and Julia Cash to our series. Unfortunately, Ms Anna Petrova had to cancel due to our rescheduled dates and the January Blizzard!! Another excellent pianist, Ms Chi Chen Wu is excited to come to Louisville. Ms Wu has a great career performing nationally and internationally with a chamber and solo career! She is  joining us from her teaching post at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.  We are also thrilled to welcome back Hamilton cellist Tahirah Whittington from Chicago who played on the Healing Place Concert last year, for those who were lucky enough to be there. Also, Ms Paola Caballero will be joining us from Barcelona/Boston to round out this beautiful program. Have no doubt, this performance will be outstanding! In the first half, we will take a trip around the world to celebrate the many cultures KRM has brought to Louisville. Beautiful musical selections from chamber music of Africa, Middle East, Ukraine, South America and Europe will all be featured. Then in the 2nd half we will feature the iconic Schumann Piano Quintet and the whole group's virtuosity is guaranteed to leave us all breathless! Please join us to help support this most important mission of Kentucky Refugee Ministries at an important time for their organization!!
