Native American and Lead Mine History Bus Tour, 10:00am-3:00pm 


Travel by comfortable coach touring bus with guide. We will stop at the Apple River Fort where interpreters will teach us about the Black Hawk War of 1832; Council Hill Station- a converted general store with an1850s mill on the East Fork of the Galena River with lunch in the barn dance building; St. Augustine’s Church in the old mining town of New Diggings, WI (built in 1844); The Father Mazzuchelli Rectory Museum in Benton, WI; the Primitive Methodist Red Church; and view a “Badger Hut”- a stone vaulted hut built as an early lead miner’s home. 


Box lunch included. Choose Classic Club, Veggie Sub, or American Sub.

  • American Sub: Turkey, Salami, Ham, American Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, and Mayo on a 7" Hoagie.
  • Classic Sub: Turkey, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, and Mayo on 3 Slices of Wheat Toast.
  • Veggie Sub: Cucumber, Tomato, Avocado, Black Olives, Carrots, Lettuce, Onion, Muenster Cheese and Lola's Vinaigrette on a 7" Hoagie.
