Native Nexus Summit is a two day cultural youth event Taking place July 20-21st at the Barona recreation department. The summit is designed to bring native youth together through hands-on, cultural workshops, traditional teachings, wellness activities, recreation, and community connection. Serving youth ages 8 to 20 the event will feature workshops, including beading, pottery, bird skirt, peon, Gourd rattle, media and intro to DJ with DJ Tribal Touch, t-shirt screen printing and stencil art, and others for a total of 12 workshops. Ending the workshops with a community fashion show featuring the youth, showcasing their skirts and other fashion designs they make. The goal of this summit is to strengthen cultural identity, preserve native traditions, and empower the next generation through education, creativity, and community engagement.&nbsp; By registering, you support Native youth leadership, cultural connection, and empower the next generation, through workshops, .
