This 12"x9" Watercolor painting was created en plein aire during National Farmers’ Market Week at the Fortuna Farmers’ Market. Sam Whitlach is a Fortuna-based artist. He earned his BA in Fine Art from Humboldt State in 2007, at the time focusing on painting and printmaking. Today he is an apprenticing sign painter and a songwriter. He has been connected to the local farming community for the past 15 years, now working part-time alongside his wife Jill at Pomme Hill Farm.
