This workshop introduces genealogists to the Metes and Bounds land description system, commonly used in non-Federal Land States. Participants will learn the terminology, tools, and techniques needed to understand and plot land deeds accurately.

This foundational knowledge will enable attendees to reproduce historical land plats, visualize property boundaries, and correlate land descriptions with current or historical maps. The session includes practical exercises to reinforce the material. (Session #102)
