This is a 90 minute scheduled program where the children with the help of chaperones will be able to create a living food chain using seine nets. The nets will be casted out into the water and chaperones will be asked to donn a pair of waders to assist in casting and retrieving the nets. The children will then be able to sort the animals into salt water bins and identify the animals and examine them for special adaptations. The children will be able to recognize where the animals fit into the marine food chain by physically arranging them. Please keep in mind we may walk a long distance, through muddy, sandy, terrain. The spots are limited for this trip so if you are unsure you can make the commitment or the physical aspect may be too much please leave the spot open for another family. We are asking due to the limited amount of spots that if possible we try to only have one adult per family. Children 2 and up count towards the total head count.
