The Regional Convenings are part of the Guild’s next chapter: meeting our national community where they are. Philadelphia is the first stop in a series of gatherings designed to build stronger regional relationships while connecting those conversations, ideas, and leaders to a larger national network. Hosted in partnership with Settlement Music School, a founding member of the National Guild, this one-day convening will bring together teaching artists, arts administrators, organizational leaders, arts allies, and partners from across the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and beyond. This convening is the first in a series that will explore topics like teaching artistry, creative youth development, creative aging, community music, nonprofit leadership, research and impact, higher education, regional collaboration, and the evolving needs of arts organizations. Our day together in Philadelphia will feature a keynote conversation with James C. Horton and Heather Ikemire, interactive breakout sessions, peer and regional conversations, and plenty of intentional time to connect. CONNECT. Build and renew relationships across organizations, disciplines, roles, generations, and communities.LEARN. Dig into the questions facing community arts education right now through keynotes, breakout sessions, peer conversations, and shared learning.LEAD. Explore what our field needs next and the role each of us can play in building stronger organizations, communities, and a more connected national ecosystem.
