OverviewThe annual NorCal Disaster Training is coming! This training is aimed at preparing search dog teams to be ready to respond to disasters. 2027 NorCal Disaster TrainingJoin us at the training sites for CA-TF3, CA-TF4, and CA-TF7 in beautiful Northern California. Event is open to disaster and wilderness handlers. It is open to live-find and human remains detection teams. Both certified and teams-in-training are welcome.&nbsp; The event will kick off on the evening of Thursday January 14, 2027&nbsp;with a lecture. There will be optional evening activities each night. Please note the training locations are about an hour+ away from each other. Best hotel location is San Ramon or Dublin California. Airport option are San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose or Sacramento. &nbsp; WE DO NOT HAVE A RECOMMENDATION FOR CAMPING. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CAMP ON-SITE AT THE TRAINING LOCATIONS. Here is the current plan, subject to change:Thursday 1/14: Evening lecture at 5pm at 1001 Westside Dr. in San RamonFriday 1/15: Training at CA-TF3, CA-TF4, or CA-TF7 training sites.Friday 1/15: &nbsp;Evening lecture at 6pm at 1001 Westside Dr. in San RamonSaturday 1/16: Training at CA-TF3, CA-TF4, or CA-TF7 training sites.Saturday 1/16: &nbsp;Social event in San Ramon at 6pmSunday 1/17: Training at CA-TF3, CA-TF4, or CA-TF7 training sites. We will be on active rubble piles that will challenge you and your canine partner. &nbsp;Operating in these environments is inherently dangerous. Minimum PPE includes:- Helmet- Boots (preferably safety-toe)- Gloves- Long sleeve shirt and pants- Headlamp and/or flashlightRecommended:- respiratory protection: n95 or greater- knee pads- eye protection Please understand you may be crawling through dark concrete tunnels or traversing unstable rubble. &nbsp;A light source and long line for your canine are essential. Please plan on your canine wearing a belly band or diaper if they have any issues with marking sources. &nbsp;It will not be tolerated and can lead to your dismissal from the training. &nbsp;We can not provide any refunds for any reason for cancellations after November 15, 2026.&nbsp;&nbsp;More information will follow. &nbsp;Unfortunately, we do not have recommendations for camping sites and you will not be allowed to camp at any of the training locations. &nbsp;In the meantime, please contact me with any questions or needs.
