Each circle creates space for lived experience and creative response, where elders share stories and youth listen, reflect, and respond through writing, art, and guided conversation. These gatherings not lectures, panels, or performances. They are spaces where stories are shared and received with respect. Each session follows a consistent, gentle structure that includes:<ul data-end="1112" data-start="960" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li data-end="985" data-start="960" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Welcome&nbsp;</li><li data-end="1015" data-start="986" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Story sharing from elders</li><li data-end="1036" data-start="1016" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Group reflection</li><li data-end="1088" data-start="1037" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Creative response (writing, art, or discussion)</li><li data-end="1112" data-start="1089" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Closing affirmation</li></ul>The series moves through six themes across the year:&nbsp;February 7: Resilience (Canyon Branch Library)April 4:&nbsp;Family (Spady Museum- Williams Cottage)June 6: Tradition (Spady Museum inside the Museum Building)August 1:&nbsp;Love (Spady Museum)October 3: JoyDecember 5: Hope&nbsp;Each theme invites participants to reflect on what we carry, what sustains us, and what we pass forward. Legacy &amp; Resilience Circles takes place bi-monthly from February through December 2026, on the first Saturday of select months from 10:00 AM&ndash;12:00 PM, and is hosted in community spaces including churches, libraries, cultural centers, and recreation facilities. Each session will be facilitated by a community leader with subject matter expertise.&nbsp; Participants should expect a calm, respectful environment where listening is valued as much as speaking. No prior writing or artistic experience is required; only a willingness to be present and engage thoughtfully. This program is hosted by the Omicron Delta Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and supported through a BeWellPBC mini-grant. Stories shared during the circles may be considered for inclusion in a community anthology. The community kick-off event will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 10:30am at the Canyon Branch Library in Boynton Beach&nbsp;(please note the time). More location-specific details will be shared with registered participants prior to each session. Who should attend: Elders, Young Adults, Youth (ages 10-18), and community members interested in intergenerational connection, storytelling, reflection, and creative expression. Closing Celebration&nbsp;Legacy &amp; Resilience Circles will culminate with an Anthology&nbsp;Celebration &amp; Community Presentation gathering on December 26, held in partnership with the Spady Cultural Heritage Museum as part of its Kwanzaa Celebration. This gathering, which serves as a closing moment of the 2026 series, will honor participants, facilitators, elders, and youth, and will include selected readings and reflections from the Legacy &amp; Resilience Circles anthology.&nbsp; For more information, please contact odzdelray@gmail.com
