Philip Slaughter, Culpeper native and Revolutionary War veteran. &nbsp;Slaughter&rsquo;s diary provides a rare glimpse of the General&rsquo;s itinerary, the numerous activities organized to honor the &ldquo;Guest of the Nation,&rdquo; and those individuals who arranged the whirlwind of events.
