Ballet Nepantla is thrilled to have received funding from the Texas Commission on the Arts to support an August creative educational workshop for Or&iacute;genes, our newest and fifth original work in development.Or&iacute;genes explores pre-Hispanic ancestral stories from ancient Mesoamerican civilizations including the Olmec, Caral, Mayans, and Aztecs. The workshop is designed to provide students and emerging dancers of South Texas with accessible high-quality training, cultural education, and direct insight to professional contemporary ballet and folkl&oacute;rico artists. The workshop will take place at Dancentre of Edinburg on August 17&ndash;21 from 1&ndash;4 p.m., with a showing at the end of the week. The fee for the week will be $100, which you can pay here. When you check out, you will see a box that says &quot;Help keep Zeffy free for Ballet Nepantla&quot; and you will see a percentage amount. Click on it, and select &quot;Other&quot; and put a zero so you don&#39;t get overcharged.
