OTB 201 and Adventure will be offered in the DFW area (exact location coming soon) on January 25 starting at 9 am.  Class Descriptions: OTB 201: This is the progression from OTB 101.  Successful completion of 101 and at least one-year of coaching are prerequisites for this course.  Adventure: This class teaches you how to build a practice and a season that encourages play and moments of connection and introspection so that our student athletes' NICA experience is about joy rather than performance and statistics. Adventure training is a NICA curriculum that teaches coaches how to serve our student athletes beyond bike skills and performance. This class is for any coach who is leading or assisting in practice and equips you to see and address student's social and emotional development. The Adventure program—built on principles of outdoor/experiential education—fosters relationships and interpersonal skills that will serve our students beyond their time with NICA. Coaches will learn how to lead games during practice (on and off the bike), as well as how to sequence a season of practices. You must be registered as a coach in PitZone, with NICA membership fee paid and NICA participant waiver signed. The cost of each course covers the Field Guide you will receive upon successful completion of the course. A Certificate of Completion will be uploaded into PitZone.
