We are excited to enter 2026 with the expansion of Ride for a Cure into two new regions: the Central Region (Topsham area) and the Northern Region (Caribou/Presque Isle area). Hancock, where it all began, will now be known as the Downeast Region. These new regions allow us to host more events and create additional opportunities to support the cancer community, with beneficiaries remaining local to that region. &nbsp; In 2025, Ride for a Cure welcomed over 500 participants riding more than 350 machines, including motorcycles, ATVs, and side-by-sides, making this our most successful year and donating $25,000 to our beneficiaries. Since 2020, Ride for a Cure has donated $75,000. Funds are raised through sponsorships, registration fees, 50/50 raffles, and numerous prize raffles.&nbsp; The Central Region will continue to support the following beneficiaries: &nbsp;* The Dean Snell Cancer Foundation is a 501(c)(3) all volunteer nonprofit that provides financial assistance to cancer patients at New England Cancer Specialists in Topsham, Maine. We help cover essential needs such as gas, groceries, housing, heating, medical bills, and travel for specialized care. Since 2009, we&rsquo;ve provided more than $1.5 million in support to patients across Maine&mdash;from Raymond to New Sharon, Rockland to Freeport, and beyond&mdash;so they can focus on their health, not financial stress.  For more information, please visit https://www.deansnell.org.  &nbsp;&nbsp;With the Dean Snell Cancer Foundation relying on these funds to continue serving their respective communities, we have set a fundraising goal of $5,000.
