Every town has a story, from a sassy pink building in a sparkling seaside village or a stray rooster who thinks he owns the sidewalk. In this workshop, you’ll learn to capture that story in paint. We’ll start by defining the “why” behind your painting, identifying the magic that caught your eye and making the hero of your visual narrative. Through a story-driven approach, you’ll learn to orchestrate all the elements of your painting to support your focal point and create a cohesive captivating scene. We will practice loose, decisive brushwork and strategic editing, ensuring every stroke serves your story. By the end of our time together, you’ll not only have a finished piece full of personality and charm but also a new set of tools to confidently paint the moments and places that make you smile. This class can be accomplished in oil or acrylic.
