Includes entry into all eligible event classes for one exhibitor, including Showmanship, Rally (ages 8+), Trick Dog (ages 8+), Costume Contest, and Skill-a-thon, plus one Photography or Art Contest entry. Open to youth ages 5–18. All dogs must complete validation prior to participation.

Includes entry into the Rally competition for one exhibitor and dog team. Participants will complete a guided course featuring obedience skills, directional signs, and teamwork exercises. Open to youth ages 8–18 only. All dogs must complete validation prior to participation.

Includes entry into the Trick Dog competition for one exhibitor and dog team. Participants will showcase their dog’s training, creativity, and teamwork through fun tricks and skills such as spins, shakes, jumps, retrieves, and freestyle behaviors. Open to youth ages 8–18 only. All dogs must complete validation prior to participation.

Includes entry into the Costume Contest for one exhibitor and dog team. Participants may dress their dog—or coordinate matching handler and dog costumes—for a fun themed competition judged on creativity, presentation, originality, and overall theme. Open to youth ages 5–18. All dogs must complete validation prior to participation.

Includes entry into the Showmanship competition for one exhibitor and dog team. Showmanship focuses on the handler’s ability to present, control, and work with their dog through proper handling, gaiting, ring awareness, and teamwork. Judging is based on the exhibitor’s skills—not the dog’s breed or appearance. Open to youth ages 5–18. All dogs must complete validation prior to participation.

Includes entry into the Skill-a-thon educational challenge for one exhibitor. Participants will rotate through hands-on stations testing dog knowledge and practical skills, including breeds, grooming tools, canine body language, health, nutrition, equipment identification, and responsible dog ownership. Open to youth ages 5–18. No dog required for participation.

📌 Entry Overview

Includes entry into the Photography and/or Art Contest for one exhibitor. Participants may submit one entry per category. Each entry is $10 per submission. All entries must be submitted by 4:00 PM on September 11, 2026.

Entry Submission 

Exhibitors must submit entries before the show deadline, September 11, 2026, 4 pm.  Entry may be submitted at the Fort Bend County 4-H Extension to Wila. 1402 Band Rd, Rosenberg, TX 77471. 

Exhibitors will select:

• Category (Photography or Art)
• Specific class (see categories below)
• Age as of Sept 1, 2026

Photography Preparation Requirements

• The photo must be printed 8x10
• Must be mounted on black foam board or stiff backing 
• Must include title label on back
• Must be original work taken by the exhibitor
• No copyrighted images allowed
• Limited editing allowed (basic color, crop, exposure adjustments only)

Photography and Art categories include:

• Dog & Handler Bond

Photography and Art classes include:

• Painting
• Drawing

Art entries must be original work created by the exhibitor.
