What if a difficult transition is not a behavior problem, but a sign that someone needs more safety, time, agency, or support? Transitions can be especially intense for neurodivergent people and PDAers. Getting out the door, stopping a preferred activity, beginning a new task, shifting expectations, or navigating an unexpected change can create stress long before the transition happens. This webinar looks beyond the moment things become difficult and explores transitions as a whole process. We’ll consider what may be happening before, during, and after a change, why common approaches can add even more pressure, and how greater safety and agency can make transitions feel more possible. If transitions regularly lead to stress, shutdown, conflict, avoidance, or dysregulation for you, your child, your students, your employees, or the people you support, this webinar will offer a clearer understanding and a more compassionate, practical way forward. BioTeodora Byne, known to friends as Teo, is a late diagnosed AuDHD woman, consultant, speaker, writer, sensory integration facilitator, columnist for Connectiverse Magazine, and parent to three neurodivergent children. Across her family, their lived experiences include ADHD, autism, PDA, nonspeaking communication, and global developmental delay. Teo helps neurodivergent people, families, educators, professionals, and organisations understand neurodivergence through a compassionate and practical lens grounded in safety and agency. Her work challenges traditional deficit based narratives and invites people to rethink what meaningful support, inclusion, and belonging can look like. Rather than asking neurodivergent people to change who they are, Teo advocates for changing the environments, expectations, and systems around them so they can truly thrive at school, at work, at home, and in their communities. NDwise Hub WebsiteFacebookInstagramSubstack
