A pomegranate bursts with seeds and butterflies in the foreground, while the background features a textured, golden, and fiery landscape with more butterflies.

Persephone's Pomegranates with Kim Bateman, Ph.D.

&ldquo;Countless millions crowd the depths of the psyche, waiting for imagination to give them wings&rdquo; (Mogensen, 1992, p.xii) An overextended woman dreams of an elephant in a bejeweled crown walking in a parade as her entrails drag on the pavement; A widow retrieves single/discarded gloves and hangs them from a tree&mdash;when the wind blows she says it is like they are waving good-bye and waving hello; a child describes his near death experience as travelling through a curly noodle and meeting a wizard at the end. Images connect the conscious with the unconscious and can serve as a bridge between past remembrances and future development. We are all metaphor making machines. In this interactive workshop, participants will learn to invite and engage with images generated by the unconscious during non-ordinary states.<p fr-original-style="width:100%;margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;box-sizing:inherit;color:rgb(15, 14, 91);" style="width: 100%; margin: 0px; box-sizing: inherit; color: rgb(15, 14, 91); line-height: 1.5;"> <p fr-original-style="width:100%;margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;box-sizing:inherit;color:rgb(15, 14, 91);text-align:left;" style="width: 100%; margin: 0px; box-sizing: inherit; color: rgb(15, 14, 91); text-align: left; line-height: 1.5;">About Kim Bateman, Ph.D.:<p fr-original-style="width:100%;margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;box-sizing:inherit;color:rgb(15, 14, 91);" style="width: 100%; margin: 0px; box-sizing: inherit; color: rgb(15, 14, 91); line-height: 1.5;"> <p fr-original-style="width:100%;margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;box-sizing:inherit;color:rgb(15, 14, 91);" style="width: 100%; margin: 0px; box-sizing: inherit; color: rgb(15, 14, 91); line-height: 1.5;"><img src="https://res.cloudinary.com/hxn9dbuhd/image/upload/v1787237678/wysiwyg/r3atq81daxknbmrwckxp.jpg" style="width: 231px; display: inline-block; vertical-align: bottom; margin-right: 5px; margin-left: 5px; text-align: center; max-width: calc(100% - 10px); position: relative; cursor: pointer; padding: 0px 1px; box-sizing: inherit; -webkit-user-select: none; -webkit-background-clip: padding-box; background-clip: padding-box; border-radius: 10px; box-shadow: rgb(204, 204, 204) 10px 10px 5px;" fr-original-style="width: 231px; display: inline-block; vertical-align: bottom; margin-right: 5px; margin-left: 5px; text-align: center; max-width: calc(100% - 10px); position: relative; cursor: pointer; padding: 0px 1px; box-sizing: inherit;" fr-original-class="fr-draggable fr-rounded fr-shadow"><p fr-original-style="width:100%;margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;box-sizing:inherit;color:rgb(15, 14, 91);" style="width: 100%; margin: 0px; box-sizing: inherit; color: rgb(15, 14, 91); line-height: 1.5;"> Kim Bateman, Ph.D. is a Clinical Psychologist, Storyteller, Communication Specialist, Psychology Educator, End-of-Life Doula, and M.A.P.S.* trained psychedelic assisted therapist.
