As an avid frequenter of the businesses on Greenwood, I love all the bits and pieces this street has to offer. Whether I'm grabbing a quick snack, browsing vintage clothing, sitting down for hours with friends at 74th St, or even sharing my paintings with the coffee crowd on the walls of Herkimer, I find a vibrant energy in this long corridor that I hope comes through in the strokes of my artwork with different parts linking together. City of Crow | Pierce Papke

Artist Statement: I know you've seen them, they rule this ridge. Some with an iron beak, others with a curious head tilt, circling and gliding from sea to lake in search of shiny things; they are the Crows. Journey through PhinneyWood | Sidney Hauser item
Journey through PhinneyWood | Sidney Hauser
$500

Starting bid

Artist Statement: This piece is my tribute to the spirit of PhinneyWood, expressed through four interconnected panels. As a resident of its sister neighborhood, Wallingford, I’ve often found myself wandering through Phinney, absorbing the sights and moments that give it character. From the animals at the zoo and people enjoying coffee at cozy cafés, to the sweeping views of Green Lake from hilltop homes, the steady stream of dog walkers, and the joyful energy of the local playground. I wanted to bring these distinct vignettes together in a way they don’t usually coexist, creating a scene that feels both familiar and dreamlike. My hope is that local passersby can spot something they recognize, and perhaps even see a bit of themselves in the story. Medium: Digital illustration
