Physics of Play: The Series Three Saturdays &mdash; Oct. 17, 24 &amp; 31, 11am&ndash;2pm This 3-week series takes the foundations of clown and physical comedy and lets you breathe inside them. Presence is a practice, and failing beautifully cultivates a fearless joy to be ourselves.&nbsp; You&#39;ll deepen your relationship to the core tools of the clown &mdash; physical authenticity, comedic timing, status, presence &mdash; and watch your instincts sharpen as the practices invite your body to lead. Humor comes from authenticity and relaxation. In this series we explore how to embody our unique blueprint to connect and play. Expect a small, consistent ensemble, more stage time per person, and the kind of trust that builds over repeated sessions together. Who should attend: Humans who came to Physics of Play masterclass and want more &mdash; or anyone ready to commit to sinking their teeth into the mechanics of presence and play, no prior workshop required. Summer Shapiro is a physical comedian, actor, and director whose work blurs the lines between comedy, movement, and pathos. She began her career creating comedic physical theater in San Francisco and New York, collaborating with artists such as John Gilkey of Cirque du Soleil and Peter Musante of Blue Man Group. During a decade of touring her clown-theater productions, she shaped an expressive, body-centered approach to performance that remains heavily focused on audience play.&nbsp;Her collaborations with musicians have appeared on screen in Sara Bareilles&#39; iconic Brave music video (directed by Rashida Jones) and Jeff Desom&#39;s The Key (shot in Luxembourg for composer Hauschka). Across mediums&mdash;stage, screen, and classrooms&mdash;Summer aims to uplift, disarm, and reconnect us to the profound mystery and humor of being alive.
