Blending roots-rock swagger and storytelling soul, her music has drawn comparisons to Tom Waits, Dolly Parton, and Lucinda Williams. She has been heard on NPR, Ditty TV, Austin Music TV, Americana Highways, American Songwriter Magazine, and her new album Soldier On (Blackbird Record Label) has been in the Americana Music Association Album Chart top 100 for 4 Months!  Pi Jacobs is a lifer. Born in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district, she's spent two decades onstage and on the road, creating a rhythmic, rootsy sound that's every bit as diverse as her own upbringing.  "My dad's Filipino, my mom's white, and my step-grandmother and cousins are African-American," says the singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, who moved between hippie communes during her childhood. "Growing up, our apartment  looked like the UN. I didn't know it was unusual until I left the Bay Area, and that's one of the reasons I love Americana music. It's inclusive. It makes room for everything. Traditional genres have become so segregated, and I want to break that mold." Hi  , Thank you purchasing a ticket(s) for Pi Jacobs at the Fiddletown Community Center on Thursday,  April 17. Doors open at 6:30pm, Show starts at 7pm.  Open seating. The venue includes metal folding chairs near the stage and 6-8 person tables in the rear. Feel free to bring a seat cushion if you want a little padding. If you like to dance here is plenty of room to dance and kick up some dust on the sides and in the back of the hall. There is plenty of room to dance if you like on the sides and in the back of the hall. Outside food and beverages. Feel free to bring nibbles and drinks to consume at the show. The kitchen is not available for use. Please remove any items brought in.  Please be considerate. Concerts are held in an intimate setting, where audiences and musicians share in the joy of live music. Please be respectful and keep conversations low and short, and leave pets at home. Young children are welcome if quiet and accompanied by an adult. There is plenty of room to dance if you like on the sides and in the back of the hall. Street parking. There is no parking lot for the center, but there are usually street parking available.
