Pink Pony Prom is (Back) On! | For Ages 14&ndash;20 A few weeks ago, we made the heartbreaking decision to cancel the original Pink Prom, which was scheduled for May 24 at the Harborside. After months of planning and incredible collaboration with youth across Kitsap County, we had sold only one ticket with just a week to go. As hard as it was, we knew we couldn&rsquo;t deliver the magical, joyful atmosphere this event deserves&mdash;and we take full responsibility for that. As we have come to expect from our community, you showed up. Parents, youth, educators, and supporters reached out with passion, frustration, and love to remind us what we already knew: Pink Prom matters. Events like this offer something increasingly rare. Spaces where LGBTQIA+ youth can feel seen, safe, and celebrated. With a solid plan already in place (thank you, youth planning committee), Kitsap Regional Library stepped in to offer a welcoming, affirming venue to bring Pink Prom to life after all. Thanks to generous support from our grant funders, this event is now completely free to attend. School will be out and summer will be starting, so come kick it off in style with an evening of music, food, friends, dancing, and a lip sync battle, just for fun.
