FLL Challenge for students in grades 4-8.  A fun program where teams learn how to build and program LEGO EV3 or Spike Prime robots. FLL Challenge is a competitive, team activity and requires that the participants are willing to focus on helping their team reach its goals.  Additionally, the participants are expected to adhere to the FIRST Code Values and the KingTeC code of conduct.  

While the goal of FLL Challenge is to support the independence of the team in reaching the design and solutions they come up with, most teams still need guidance. This year, we are looking for a parent to be assigned to each team to act as the coach and keep the team on track through the season. The coach who takes on this responsibility through the season will have their registration fee returned at the end of the season. Teams will not be able to be created until a coach exists for each team."

In addition to the registration fee, there is a $100 deposit required via check or cash.  This deposit is returned to you, or can be donated, at the end of the season when the kits are returned with all the pieces and volunteer requirements are fulfilled.   Please see individual programs details at: kingtec2169.com.

Scholarships are available for families with financial need.
