Project Greenlight Returns

LAB's highly successful playwriting workshop returns. In this twelve week workshop, meeting virtually each Sunday from 4 to 6 pm EST starting June 15. Students will will learn the basic fundamentals of developing a play from inception to completed work. They focus will be on idea pitching, character development, pre-writing, story outlining, and writing. Additionally students will learn the fundamentals of story format and structure to ensure that each play that the student writes will be fully developed end the class with a completed first draft. This is an intense writing class and there will be extensive writing assignments each week. The class will culminate in a showcase that will be the reading of each student’s completed work. Additionally, students will work with celebrated and accomplished mentors lending them guidance as they develop their story and first draft. Past participants of this workshop have gone on to win regional awards to include Best Play, and other such accolades. Several students have had their stories produced by LAB as a result of their work in Project Greenlight; be part of the creative process that will get results at LAB.
