Princess Ida, desperate to escape the patriarchal society she has been raised in, breaks her engagement with Hilarion, the prince her father selected for her when she was a baby, to found a women&rsquo;s university at Castle Adamant. Prince Hilarion, accompanied by his friends, Cyril and Florian, sneaks into the castle, attempting to woo the princess. Calamity, hilarity, and a battle between rival kingdoms ensues. Will Princess Ida find love after all? This modern adaptation of Gilbert &amp; Sullivan&rsquo;s PRINCESS IDA boasts a beautiful score, catchy lyrics, and one of comic opera&rsquo;s most interesting heroines. A LOTS company premiere! Presented staged with a live orchestra.
