Who This Service Is For
Priority Managed Support may be a good choice if:
• You have a community-service deadline approaching
• You can volunteer only on certain days or at certain times
• Regular SafeRide volunteer opportunities are already full
• Your work, school, family, or transportation situation makes normal scheduling difficult
• You need substantial staff assistance coordinating your remaining hours
• You want SafeRide staff actively involved in helping you build and manage your service schedule
What “Priority” Means
Priority Managed Support means SafeRide devotes additional staff time, administrative effort, and scheduling resources to your situation.
When regular volunteer opportunities are full, we may create or coordinate additional legitimate SafeRide-supervised service capacity so you have more scheduling options.
Priority does not mean taking a scheduled position away from another volunteer. Volunteers who are already registered for an assignment keep their positions. Any additional capacity is created or coordinated separately.
Your First Step After Purchase
After purchasing Priority Managed Support, you will receive a confirmation email asking you to schedule a Volunteer Support Meeting with SafeRide.
You may choose to meet with us by phone or Zoom.
During this meeting, we will review:
• The number of hours you need to complete
• Your completion deadline
• Who is requiring your service, if applicable
• Your available days and times
• Your transportation or scheduling limitations
• Existing SafeRide volunteer opportunities
• Any difficulties you have experienced finding open opportunities
• Additional scheduling options SafeRide may be able to coordinate
• Any other circumstances that may affect your ability to complete your service
Important: Community-Service Hours Cannot Be Purchased
The $149 fee pays for the additional administrative assistance, personal support, scheduling coordination, and staff resources provided through Priority Managed Support.
It does not purchase community-service hours.
Payment does not:
• Reduce the number of hours you are required to perform
• Provide credit for hours you did not complete
• Allow you to purchase another volunteer’s scheduled position
• Provide additional credit simply because you purchased Priority Managed Support
• Guarantee that a particular date, shift, or assignment will be available
• Guarantee completion by a particular deadline
• Guarantee acceptance by any court, probation office, diversion program, attorney, school, employer, or other referring authority
SafeRide credits only community service that has been actually performed and verified.
Scheduling and Additional Capacity
Priority Managed Support gives SafeRide greater flexibility to work on difficult scheduling situations, but successful scheduling still depends on practical factors such as your availability, the number of hours you need, your deadline, available supervision, and the types of legitimate service projects SafeRide can provide.
The earlier you purchase Priority Managed Support and schedule your Volunteer Support Meeting, the more options we are likely to have available.
Priority Managed Support Is Not Verified Community Service
Priority Managed Support focuses primarily on personal assistance, scheduling, and additional service capacity.
It does not include the enhanced third-party monitoring and reporting features of Verified Community Service, such as ongoing progress reports to an authorized probation officer, attorney, parent, case manager, or other recipient.
If you need both enhanced scheduling assistance and ongoing verified progress reporting, choose Verified + Priority Community Service.
Court, Probation & Other Required Service
Requirements vary among courts, probation offices, diversion and pretrial programs, attorneys, schools, employers, and other organizations.
If another organization requires your community service, you are responsible for confirming that SafeRide America and the type of volunteer service you perform meet that organization’s requirements.
Completion Documentation
Your standard emailed PDF completion letter is included after your service is complete.
Signed originals, mailed documents, expedited processing, overnight delivery, or other special documentation may involve additional charges.
Priority Managed Support is for volunteers who need SafeRide to do more than simply show them the available schedule. We actively work with you to overcome scheduling challenges and create a practical path toward completing your service.
