Together, we can create a brighter, more compassionate world for all. 📅 Important Dates &amp; Deadlines<ul><li>Application Deadline: Sunday, July 3, 2026</li><li>Parade Date: Sunday, July 19, 2026</li></ul> The mission of the Puertorrican Culture Preservation Inc Parade is to teach Puerto Rican roots and culture, uniting the community in a proud and family-oriented event.                                  Participants must be in their assigned space and ready by (10:30 am)📋 Registration &amp; Logistics<ul><li>Mandatory Application: All participants must submit a registration application early. No entries are accepted on the day of the parade.</li><li>Group Responsibility: The person who signs the application is responsible for ensuring every member of their group knows and follows these rules.</li><li>Approval: PRCP has the sole authority to approve or deny any entry.</li></ul>🎨 Appearance &amp; Culture<ul><li>Cultural Theme: All entries are encouraged to reflect Puerto Rican culture.</li><li>Decorations: Floats and vehicles (including buses) must be at least 75% decorated. Antique cars and official vehicles are exempt.</li><li>Identification: Every unit must have a banner with the organization's name and a Puerto Rican flag. Floats must have identification on both sides.</li><li>Music: Music must be culturally appropriate. Obscene or offensive lyrics are strictly prohibited and will result in a ban from future parades.</li></ul>🛡️ Safety &amp; Prohibited Items<ul><li>Safety First: Any unit deemed a public hazard will be denied.</li><li>No Throwing Items: For the safety of children on the curb, do not throw items from vehicles. You may hand items to spectators while walking.</li><li>Stay in Line: Participants must stay in the parade line and not move into the crowd.</li><li>Restricted Items: Power tools, weapons (including replicas), fireworks, and explosives are strictly banned.</li><li>Emergency Protocol: If an emergency vehicle (Ambulance/Fire/Police) needs to pass, all participants must move to the right side of the street immediately.</li><li>Height Limit: Units cannot exceed 16 feet in height due to overhead wires and lights.</li></ul>🚶 Participants &amp; Conduct<ul><li>Zero Tolerance: No alcohol, tobacco, or illegal substances are permitted anywhere on the parade route.</li><li>Age Limits: Children under 6 years old cannot walk in the parade; they must ride on a float/vehicle and be supervised by an adult at all times.</li><li>Behavior: Everyone must act courteously and follow the instructions of Parade Officials. "Harmful performances" that ruin the celebratory spirit are not allowed.</li><li>Car Clubs: Limited to 10 vehicles unless pre-approved by the Board.</li></ul>🚲 Vehicles &amp; Animals<ul><li>Motorized Units: Go-carts, mini-bikes, mopeds, and bicycles are only allowed if specifically approved in your application.</li><li>Cleanup: Any group with animals or riders must provide their own cleanup crew to follow behind them.</li></ul>🏁 End of the Parade<ul><li>No Doubling Back: Once you reach the end, do not walk or drive back through the parade route. Use side streets to exit.</li><li>Leave No Trace: Take all trash and materials with you. Respect the local residents and the community.⚠️ Consequences </li></ul>Failure to follow these rules—especially regarding music, safety, and decorations—will result in immediate removal and a ban from participating in next year's parade. Parade Officials have the final word on all decisions. Las letras obscenas u ofensivas están estrictamente prohibidas y resultarán en la exclusión de futuros desfiles.</li></ul>🛡️ Seguridad y Artículos Prohibidos<ul><li>La seguridad es lo primero: cualquier unidad que sea considerada un peligro público será rechazada.</li><li>Prohibido lanzar artículos: Por la seguridad de los niños en la acera, no lance artículos desde los vehículos.
