Join us for a concert featuring one of Chicago&#39;s most dynamic chamber music ensembles - Quintet Attacca. This five-piece wind ensemble will lead us through an international program with music from Valerie Coleman, Samuel Barber, Astor Piazzolla, Franz Danzi, Paquito d&#39;Rivera, and Alyssa Morris.&nbsp; Traditionally, we see the phrase &quot;melting pot&quot; used to describe a place where many different cultures and customs come together to create a community of blended traditions. &nbsp;This program expands that phrase to include the vast array of experiences that bring audiences together, the musicians on the stage, and the music we play. &nbsp;This program features composers born between three centuries, residing on three different continents, and spanning four different genres of music (classical, Latin, Afro-Cuban and jazz) - &nbsp;a true blending of experiences that create one very rich program.
