Do you love Sierra Ferrell, winner of FOUR 2025 GRAMMYs? Do you love quilts? Then you'll want to adorn your home/bed/couch with artwork worn at the Grand Ole Opry! Show your love for Appalachian music and beautiful quilts while donating to a great cause. All funds received through the raffle (including additional donations) will directly benefit musicians who lost their homes and instruments in the devastating floods during Hurricane Helene. In 2024, New York-based clothing designer Constance McCardle created a series of dresses for the amazing musician Sierra to wear on her SHOOT FOR THE MOON tour. They became iconic to her look, and attention to Sierra's clothes took off. McCardle is known for her love of vintage textiles, so when creating the series she used mainly vintage cotton prints. After making the clothes, she couldn't bear to toss the fabric scraps and had a brainstorm — why not turn them into a quilt?  She asked friend Brenda Bobbitt from Riner, Virginia, well-known for her exceptional quilt-making skills, to make the quilt.  Coincidentally, in the earliest stages of the project, Hurricane Helene hit, unexpectedly devastating North Carolina and East Tennessee. Truly heartbreaking!  Wanting to help, McCardle and Bobbitt decided to raffle the quilt to help musicians replace instruments lost in the floods. Quilt dimensions: 70" x 58".  A very special thanks to Walt Michael, executive director of Common Ground on the Hill, for assistance in administering this raffle. Winner will be notified by phone and email and announced on the Common Ground on the Hill website and social media. Common Ground on the Hill is a 501(c)3 arts non-profit and a Maryland State Regional Folklife Center of the Maryland State Arts Council.
