As you probably remember the Regal Room, Coleman's Plaza, and the most stylish people in any city in America, then you know things have changed since you left. Doesn't mean it has to stay that way. I'm looking for 25,000 former or current East St Lousans to join me, Jahi Bakari (Lincoln Class of 1982 and the executive director of the CulturALL Sports Academy) to reclaim and take black our city from State Oversight, political corruption, urban decay, and unchecked drugs and violence by subscribing to this movement. If 25,000 or us can contribute at least $5/month for one year (25,000 x $5 x 12 months would yield at least $1.5 million dollars) to be used to create at least one retail/commercial establishment for each of the 13 precincts that can generate at least 25 jobs paying at least $15/hr on average for at least 300 residents a year. Please don't forget those who suffered after the 1917 riots and racism that led to white flight and factory closings. Our elders stayed and raised us right and now we live good lives on the backs of others. There are at least 18,000 who are still there including our children and elderly who can't defend themselves.. Your $5/monthly contribution can help.. Who's with me?!
