Packing/Prepping Information - Your packing list could be very short. Many just bring a water bottle to refill, or a camel bak, or small back pack. Lots of water and snacks will be available throughout the route including right away in the morning so you don&#39;t need to get crazy at all with water and snacks. Be prepared for the weather though. Warm day? Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, etc. Rainy day? Poncho or rain jacket, extra socks, etc.&nbsp; Veterans - Some Veterans use their old ruck sacks or assault packs. Some of us also wear the old uniform bottoms too. Depends on the mood for most that morning. Sometimes you feel like wearing them, sometimes not. You won&#39;t be alone either way. This event is rain or shine.&nbsp;We will walk no matter what the weather is doing. Be prepared for the elements if that&#39;s the case. No refunds. DAY OF MARCH AGENDA - Monday May 25th at the Rotary Pavilion, Levee Park of Hastings 7am Start Sign In, Get Tshirt, Eat Grub thanks to Hanson family,&nbsp; 745am Group Photo by stone Hastings sign 8am National Anthem &amp; Step Off This year the talented Hastings Spiral Singers led by Cheryl Borgen will sing the National Anthem prior to stepping off. We will walk as a group at a 3mph pace. Nobody gets in front of the flag. Sorry, no running or riding a bike. No dogs either unless a service dog wearing appropriate insignia. 8am-12pm The March - We will stop three times for a break starting at Vermillion Falls (mile 3) hosted by Kathy O&#39;Connor and family, then Wallin Park (mile 5) hosted by Cheryl and Tom Bullington and then Crestview Park (mile 7) hosted by Katy and Andy Lindberg. Then we&#39;ll finish at the Confluence by noon or close to that.&nbsp; Faster March - To speed things up and improve the flow of the event we will no longer stop at each mile to read through Honor Markers as we did in the past. The exception will be any new Honor Markers that are placed. We will then stop as a group and the Marcher who nominated them will place it and share their story.&nbsp; Port O Pottys - We will have at least 12 extra p-o-ps along the route. There is a route map on our website that shows their locations so you can plan accordingly. Of course you&#39;re welcome to hit a nearby port-o-potty at any time during the walk if need be. We are very pro port o potty. Around 12pm - Brief Informal Ceremony with Taps @ Confluence&nbsp;- It is a loop but we will stop outside of the Confluence near their giant flag pole on the river side. We could be sooner or later depending on weather, size of group and pace of group. We will inform you all of a fairly accurate ETA later in the March that you can send to any family or friends you expect to see at the Finish.
