The desert is often portrayed as a place of silence and solitude, but it can also be a place of awakening. In Scripture, the desert became the setting where people encountered God, faced themselves honestly, and discovered what truly mattered. Carl Jung described the desert as the barren landscape we encounter when we become disconnected from our soul and lost in the demands of ego, image, and endless activity.Rooted in the wisdom of Steps 4, 5, and 6, this retreat invites us into the courageous work of self-examination, truth-telling, and willingness. Through contemplative practices, reflection, teaching, and community, we will explore the journey from false self to true self, from striving to surrender, and from inner barrenness to new growth.Sometimes the wilderness is not the end of the journey—it is where the soul begins to bloom
