This workshop aims to provide space and time for individuals to reflect and verbalize why our relationship to the land is important, what is happening now that is threatening our relationship and the future we hope for.&nbsp; If you are willing, the words and stories shared by participants during this workshop will serve as research and material for a poem by Melanie Saunders that will Anaka&#39;s choreographic creation for RHAR. RHAR aims to build a cyclical relationship between artists, this place and its people. Anaka Weiss-Jones seeks to understand perspectives of spirituality, religion, the earth, and humanity through conversations and research. She believes strongly that there is a symbiotic relationship that comes from embracing these elements as parts of a whole, and that the cycle of symbiosis breaks down when the same are abandoned, and so her work for RHAR begins with an open mind, seeking to learn more about the relationships and stories of and between the land and community from the people who make their lives in this beautiful place.
