January 14, 2026 - March 18, 2026Wednesdays, 8-10pm, Northgate Community CenterSundays, 7-8:30am, Lynnwood Bowl and SkateTuesdays, 8:30-11pm, Lynnwood Bowl and Skate**Sunday practices are optional. We offer 1-2 bonus practices per month on Tuesdays, with optional attendance. Wednesday practices occur weekly. This is an introduction to contact, beginner skate program designed to teach adults 18+ roller derby.&nbsp; Our program is designed to train participants to safely engage in full contact roller derby gameplay. Curriculum is centered around the goal of joining Jet City&#39;s Cadet program and eventual draft to a league team. Completion of Boot Camp does not guarantee a space in the Cadet program or on a league team. In addition to skating practices, participants can learn about the rules and strategy of the sport by attending private scrimmages, volunteering as officials, and/or group discussions led by our experienced trainers. Participants should exhibit proficiency in minimum skating skills prior to registering for this program, which include but are not limited to: crossovers, transitions, backwards skating, stopping, and falling safely. Skaters who do not consistently demonstrate safe and stable skating skills may be asked to participate in our Pilot Program instead.&nbsp; Wednesday evenings are the primary practices, with Sundays being an additional time to revisit and reinforce skills, typically in a smaller group setting. You will also have access to attend alternating Tuesday night league practices (as a skater) and scrimmages (as a volunteer).
