Welcome to Rolling Hikes at Blue Spring State Park!

The All-Terrain Chair is free.

Park entry fees are applicable. Typical fees are $4 for a 1-person car and $6 for up to 8 in a car.

A park volunteer will train guests on the operation of the chair to ensure guests are comfortable operating it on the trails. If a guest doesn’t want to use the joystick, a park volunteer will use a remote control for the chair on the trails.

Nature trails or a paved trail are available for rolling hikes. The guest decides which trail is best for them. A park volunteer hikes with the guest to enhance the experience by pointing out animals, birds, animal tracks, flora, and other nature found along the trail.

A friend or family member should accompany guests. Park volunteers cannot assist with transfers in or out of the all-terrain chair. The full hike is about 4 miles and can take up to 3 hours. The length of the hike and time on the trail is decided by YOU!

We have two chairs. Reservations are requested 5-7 days in advance. The hike will be canceled or rescheduled due to inclement weather.

The chair cannot be taken on the board walk.

There is a strict guest weight limit of 300 pounds due to the chair’s capacity.

The hikes occur Monday through Friday and begin at 9:00 a.m. unless other arrangements have been made; we can be flexible with notice. If you are requesting a different start time, write the requested time in the comment section.

Moonlight and guided bird hikes are available but may have a fee. The dates and times of these vary each month. To inquire about these hikes, please send an email to rollinghikes@gmail.com.
