Join us at Brewerton Center for the Arts for an evening with Rooster Blackspur 🎶. Settle in for original songs and stories that highlight the kind of authentic performance our Center was created to showcase. ROOSTER BLACKSPUR Now based in Nashville, Tennessee, Rooster Blackspur is an award-winning New Mexico singer-songwriter and storyteller shaped by the wild solitude of the Alaskan wilderness. The daughter of a dogsled musher, she left the Last Frontier to troubadour the lower 48, collecting stories along the way from outsiders and black sheep. Equal parts Johnny Cash grit and outsider revival preacher, Rooster blends western grit, unholy gospel, and Americana roots with raw storytelling, soul, and sincerity—creating a live experience that is a little wild, a little sacred, and unlike anything else. *We are grateful for the wonderful generosity of our private sponsor in making this concert a reality for Brewerton. Your ticket helps keep a welcoming home for local visual and performance artists in Onondaga and Oswego counties. By registering, you support exhibits, classes, concerts, and creative training that invite our community to see, hear, and explore new work 🎨.
