Roots &amp; Reflections is a small, guided support circle for adult Korean adoptees to share stories, questions, and everyday realities in a grounded, judgment-free space. Hosted by <a fr-original-style="" href="http://www.akconnection.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: initial; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">AK Connection</a> and&nbsp;<a fr-original-style="" href="https://www.instagram.com/therapyforallminds/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: initial; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Megan Nyberg, LPCC</a>, this circle centers on community care, identity, and culture. This of Roots &amp; Reflections offers adult Korean adoptees living in Minnesota a supportive space to come together to discuss the unique experience within&nbsp;adoptive family dynamics. Together, participants will reflect on topics such as relationships with adoptive parents and siblings, communication patterns, cultural differences, and the ways family connections evolve over time. The circle offers a space to consider how adoption shapes family relationships, identity, and a sense of belonging, while connecting with others who share similar lived experiences. We welcome all experiences&mdash;whether your relationship with your adoptive family is close, complicated, distant, or estranged. All perspectives are valid, and every story is honored. What to ExpectThis session will be facilitated by Megan Nyberg, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and fellow Korean adoptee based in Minnesota. The session will be held virtually, with a link provided after registration closes on April 11.
