Wendy Thomas, Artist, Nimiipuu kaa Dine (Nez Perce and Navajo)
Wendy hails from a family of artists. She describes herself as a community raised child who learned skills from family and community members on the Nez Perce Reservation in Idaho. The most “famous” family member was her late grandmother who she called “Gram.” Gram loved Pendleton, she often created items like steering wheel covers and moss bags for her family and community. Wendy created this wristlet and works with Pendleton material in honor of her late “Gram.”
