Dr. Spangler of UT&#39;s Plant Sciences department will share with us how she and her students re-created this rare native habitat, where water wells up out of the ground and flows along the surface, on the grounds of the Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum. Dr. Spangler will share with us why they decided to undertake this unique project, what native plants require this habitat, and why seeps are important to native ecosystems. Along with associates Dr. Edward Schilling and James (JD) Zimmerman, Dr. Spangler will give us a guided tour of the garden. Don&#39;t miss it!
