LXCL:One caretaker is welcomed to attend only if support is needed. We have staff and volunteers on-hand to provide assistance with activities. We are happy to have caretakers attend and observe, but activities are for registered participants.

You&rsquo;re invited to join us at Happy Day Hangs Jr.&mdash;an inclusive community gathering at our shop where middle and high school students with intellectual and developmental disabilities can connect, create, and enjoy meaningful time together in a welcoming, supportive environment. September Theme:&nbsp;Pack your favorite picnic dinner and join us for an evening of fun at Roosevelt Park! We&#39;ll enjoy yard games like cornhole and ladder ball while spending time together outdoors. We&#39;ll meet in the grassy area at the southwest corner of Roosevelt Park, next to the newly renovated playground. Plenty of street parking is available, or you can park in the Senior Center lot and take the short walk to our gathering spot. Happy Day Hangs Jr. costs $15 to attend, which helps cover materials and program costs so we can continue offering this experience long-term. Scholarships are available for anyone who needs financial support&mdash;we want this program to be accessible to everyone. Please RSVP in advance so we can prepare enough food and materials for everyone. This program is designed to encourage independence and connection. Caregivers are encouraged to drop off and enjoy time away, allowing participants the opportunity to build confidence and community on their own. One caregiver may attend only if support is needed. Please note that Happy Day Plants staff and volunteers are on hand to support participants during activities, but are unable to provide personal care, medical assistance, or toileting support.
