LXCL:Learn common handsewing techniques to both gain confidence for future apparel construction projects and lend a couture finish to your garments.

In this three &nbsp;class (11/5, 11/12, 11/19), students will complete samples of common handsewing techniques to gain confidence for future apparel construction projects. Hand sewing can be relaxing! Starting with the basic running stitch, students will progress from very simple to more complex hand-sewing techniques to lend a couture finish to your garments. Great for those just beginning in cosplay or historical garment construction. Or, if you don&#39;t have a sewing machine and want to be able to do some basic repairs. No finished items will be completed in this class &ndash; but you will leave with samples of all the techniques covered. The first week will cover basic stitches such as the running stitch, slipstich and whipstitch. In the second week, we will move on to a variety of hem finishes and then finish up in week three with closures---buttons, hooks and eyes and hand sewn buttonholes! No sewing machine experience needed. This is a great class for sewists of all levels.
